We know that curvy models are really coming into their own more and more in this industry. They have become inspirations to all the young ladies who aspire to be in front of the camera one day.
The list of awesome plus size models really is endless, but below I picked five models that are doing their thing working for some of our favorite brands.
2. Philomenia Kwao
Just a drop dead gorgeous young woman. I first noticed Philomenia when her face graced Monif C’s 2014 swimsuit ads. I think I reblogged every single photo of her on Tumblr that I could find. Her natural short cut, her flawless skin and her beautiful face, I knew she would be hard to forget. We are seeing her more and more working for major plus fashion brands.

This chick right here is truly taking the plus modeling world by storm. She has graced many runways in the few years that she’s been modeling. She is an inspiration that if you stick to your dream, you hustle every step of the way everything will pay off for you in the end.
4. Christina Mendez
Talk about bombshell! Christina Mendez gives life to every brand she works with and in every photo she takes. A beautiful women both inside and out. Not only is she an amazing mother of two beautiful children, one of which has Autism. She has an infectious smile and a “curves for days” kind of body, you can’t help but love her.

Who doesn’t know this face? I mean really! Ashley Graham is a true pioneer in the plus model industry. Bold and fearless, she always gives face and pure life in her photos. Gracing the cover of international magazines and being the face of plus size brand Lane Bryant, it’s no surprise that she’s an inspiration to curvy girls everywhere.
6. Alex LaRosa
Alex is a veteran model whose resume continues to grow. Seen mostly now as a model for SWAK Designs, she has walked runways for major brands and designers. Not only a beautiful face she also has an amazing head on her shoulders. With her degree in Critical Theory and Social Justice, I’m sure we’ll be seeing her in many more facets in the future.
