Lee Daniels made it that clear when he responded to rumors that Jussie Smollett would be coming back to “Empire.” Lee, said, “This is not factual. Jussie will NOT be returning.” Lee Daniels was responding to reports confirming that writers were scrambling to write Jussie’s character, Jamal Lyon, back into the show.
