FRFR: Are You Here for a New Whitney Album and Hologram Tour?
Whitney Houston’s sister-in-law and estate executor Pat Houston spoke to The New York Times about plans for a touring hologram, a Broadway musical, even some branding deals and an album of unreleased tracks. Why seven years after Whitney died? Pat Houston said it was all about timing. The estate has a deal to sell 50% of the estate’s assets, including royalties from music and film, merch, and the right to use Whitney’s name and likeness. The unreleased tracks would come from Whitney’s 1985, debut album. The hologram, described as “taken precedence over everything,” would be backed by a tour of Whitney’s s original band and backup singers, including her brother, Gary.
