Shaquille O’Neal announced it on Instagram, “I am so excited to be joining the Papa John’s family as a member of the Board of Directors, a soon-to-be investor in nine Papa John’s franchises in Atlanta and an ambassador for the brand.” Papa John’s has been getting fried ever since founder John Schnatter stepped down after he admitted using the n-word during a conference call with executives last May. Papa John’s has been hit with calls to boycott by some members of the Black community. Sales have dropped for 5 quarters in a row according to CNN business.
