It wasn’t that long ago that trolls came for Tevin Campbell. They questioned his cultural relevancy. Tevin wasn’t here for it. He shouldn’t be. He’s an icon. Ava Duvernay wasn’t here for it either. She said she was “rebuking any Tevin Campbell slander.” She vowed to write him in an episode of “Queen Sugar.” She said she’d do it on ‘general principle.’ And she did. Tevin is set to appear this season on “Queen Sugar.” “This is so exciting for me and I want to thank Ava Duvernay,” Tevin said in a video. “Ava Duvernay she is a doer she kept her word, and I want to thank the cast and the crew for making me feel at home, like I’ve been here for years. Oh my God! Y’all don’t even understand how excited I am!”
