TV: Cast Announced For ‘Black-ish’ Spinoff Centered On ‘Rainbow’

A potential spinoff is being centered around the character of Rainbow, played by Tracee Ellis Ross. It would be solely focused on Rainbow and her interracial upbringing as a teen in the 80s/90s.The pilot is set to air sometime before the end of the current fifth season. The cast includes Tika Sumpter, who will play Rainbow’s mother Alicia. Anders Holm, will play Rainbow’s father Paul and Arica Himmel will play teenage Rainbow. Also in the cast is Gary Cole as Harrison, Rainbow’s grandfather, Christina Anthony as Denise, Rainbow’s aunt, Ethan William Childress as Johan and Mykal-Michelle Harris as Santamonica.
