About Time: R. Kelly’s Enablers May Have to Face a Judge

R. Kelly’s inner circle could find themselves facing a judge over what they did or didn’t do in helping him sexually abuse underage girls. Reportedly Kelly’s close acquaintances helped him recruit and maintain female victims, and now more than 10 of his associates could be criminally liable for their silence in these cases. Michael Avenatti, lawyer for two R. Kelly accusers, says R. Kelly “depended heavily” on enablers to help target and manage underage girls as well as pay off their families.
