A Southside St. Louis mom recently fought off a thief trying to steal her purse on the way to dinner. The victim, Dawn McGroarty, was with her child when the incident happened as the two were in route to the restaurant Chimichanga’s Mexican Restaurant on Sunday. After a brief struggle, the suspect eventually gave up and ran off, and has not been caught yet.
