Colin Kaepernick, Ava DuVernay Team Up For Comedy Series! (Photos)
“A Wrinkle in Time” director, Ava DuVernay has always been a strong supporter of Colin Kaepernick, is now developing a comedy series with the NFL star turned acclaimed activist ,based on his high school life.
The project has yet to be officially announced, and there is no network attached. According to Vanity Fair, the award-winning filmmaker and the activist/pro-football player have partnered up for a comedy series about Kap’s high school career.
Among Duvernay’s upcoming projects are HBO’s “Battle of Versailles,” a Netflix series, and continuing development of one of my favorite shows Queen Sugar for Oprah Winfrey’s OWN Network:
Colin Kaepernick is one of the most influential figures in sports, and his Take a Knee movement is still a hot-button issue across the country. President Trump just announced that he’s cancelling the planned Philadelphia Eagles White House visit due to several players being uninterested in attending.
Further details for the reported project are still under wraps but I’m am SO HERE for this show already!
