The buzz and excitement surrounding BET’s latest biopic, “The New Edition Story” is building as its premiere date draws near. BBD, the Hip-Hop spin off group from the famed R&B group, is on a press run gearing up for Friday’s “Three Stripes” release– the trio’s first album in 15 years! The cast is also traveling the country doing press and hosting exclusive pre-screenings in major markets to connect with fans.

Yesterday, the film’s handpicked stars including Luke James, Bryshere “Yazz” Gray, Elijah Kelley, Keith Powers, Algee Smith, made a few stops in NYC and landed in the offices of Essence Magazine. What happened in the board room is nothing short of epic! In the clip below you can see the boys getting busy to BBD’s “Poison” complete with a Milly Rock from Powers and Michael Bivins impersonation from Empire’s Yazz. Check it out here.
