This week on Insecure we finally got some background on Issa and Daniel’s almost but never really “relationship”, found out just how bad Molly needs to calm the f*ck down, and how Lawrence may or may not be feeling the bank teller.

First of all Issa’s video of her rapping about her friends broken “pocket” (for lack of a better word) has hit the web and the middle school students she’s supposed to be mentoring found it and think it’s the greatest thing in the world.  She is in full fix it mode enlisting Molly’s help to threaten to sue whoever posted it in order for them to take it down.

Molly is invited to her Asian co-workers engagement party and does not want to go it alone so she desperately asks a dude she just met (and slept with) to go with her.  She is relieved when he shows up but that quickly dissipates when she realizes he felt he was doing her a “favor”.

Lawrence and this bank teller bae finally come to some understanding after she shows up at his job looking like she was auditioning for the afternoon slot at the strip club.  Lace up top and all.  He had to remind her that he has a girlfriend and he sent her scrambling in an awkward embarrassed manner.

All of this went down as Issa found herself linking up with Daniel…the guy she’s been carrying a “f*ck torch for”…Molly’s words, not mine.  Issa ducks out as Daniel sleeps and rushes home to an unknowing Lawrence.

So much happened in this 4th episode.  Definitely the turning point.  I can’t wait to see what happens with Molly and Enterprise dude and I wonder if Issa will break it off with Lawrence and/or pursue this whole rap career thing.  She did say she wondered what life would be like if she were to go after everything she wants.  I’m starting to wonder if she even knows what that is.

The song playing when Issa and Daniel did what they did…
