If Beyoncé gives you career advice would you take it? Even if it meant changing your name? Singer/songwriter Wynter Gordon, who penned those infamous “Becky with the good hair” lyrics on Beyoncé’s “Lemonade” has changed her name because Queen Bey told her to.
The singer, now known as Diana Gordon, told partygoers at designer Prabal Gurung’s postshow Edition Hotel dinner that she traded in stage name Wynter for her birth name Diana because “she said Beyoncé told her to be herself and it encouraged her to perform under her real name,” a source said. Ok so technically is this a name change back? In any case I wish her all the best in her career, “Diana” performed two of her own new tracks at the event.
