Angie Stone Says Her Female Rap Group Was Never A One-Hit Wonder
R&B singer Angie Stone was part of one the first female rap groups in the 70s that paved the way for a lot of the female groups that came out on the 80s..
VH1 stated in a press release that Salt-n-Pepa was the first true female hip-hop group.
Angie said…
“They’re honoring “female” Hip Hop legends, We definitely should have been included in the celebration this year for sure!”
TMZ is reporting that Angie Stone thinks VH1 was flat out wrong for leaving “The Sequence” out of its ceremony celebrating women in hip-hop …
Angie was out in Atlanta this week with Ed Lover and she had some things to say….
And the crazy thing about this whole thing is that Angie was at Hip Hop Honors in the audience and still got no love.
