UNIFYING LESSON PRINCIPLE:
Love is the primary requirement for societies attempting to have a dramatic influence on the world around them. What is it about love that is so indispensable? In 1 Corinthians 13, Paul said that love is needed to achieve the full benefit of all spiritual gifts.
CONCLUDING REFLECTION:
Love has no color. Love is a contribution that everyone can make. Love is the sole remedy for evil in the world. When there is not an apparent ground for hope, love continues to endure. We stand in awe to see in our modern time how love endures the darkness of hate. How true is Paul’s statement, “love never fails”; love is God’s permanent expression of God’s self.
PRAYER:
It is because of your love, O God, that we exist with love in our hearts. Mature us in the love we have come to know in Christ. Shape, mold and sustain us in that love until life in us and around us reflects the love of Christ. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
