In Florida late Saturday night Michael Dunn was found guilty on all three counts of attempted second-degree murder plus one count of hurling a deadly missing. While the jury deliberated four days they were deadlocked on the 1st degree murder charge in the death of 17-year-old Jordan Davis. Apparently a few of the jurors felt that Dunn was justified in fearing for his life by a black, unarmed teenager, sitting in the back of an SUV.

Dunn, 47, gunned down Davis at a gas station in Jacksonville, Florida on November 23rd, 2012.  Dunn claims that he felt threatened by the teen — who was sitting inside of an SUV with friends — and loud music coming from the vehicle, so he sprayed the vehicle with nine bullets before driving away, leaving Davis to die in a friend’s arms.

Dunn never called police and even though he was not convicted on the 1st degree murder charge he still will face 60 years in prison.
